My Dear Alumni,
When we launched JVC Alumni Association on 18th Feb 1999 in the college conference hall, the executives,elected by you, resolved JVCAA will continue for ever and be a tool for exchange of wellbeings of the alumni. Your JVCAA has started celebrting 8th July of every year as Foundation day of their Alma Mater and it is continuing since then. JVCAA has started publishing its quarterly news letter to acquaint welfare of our alumni and alma mater . However , in recent years , it has been discontinued .
I, your past Secretary, has resolved to continue the old tradition of linking our alumni with each other. As I have retired from Deanship of the college and also with changing time, I realised some new method should be developed for this linkages and which should be away from administrative controls. To me, it appeared best to utilise our new gadgets of internet which many our young alumni are using in their day to day life. Therefore, we are starting two new avenues for our alumni.
First is we have launched a face book JVC Alumni Association on 8th Sept 2012. I request that all of you should join this face book through internet and may post your important news which you wish to share ( the facebook link is here , you have to open your facebook account with the help of google ).I am aware that some retired alumni may not be able to open the facebook account। For them, please take help of your son/daughter in opening a face book account with your details to help in identification by others; I assure you this will prove a very good time pass tool.
And second is the start of this blogg which will contain all the relevant information on JVCAA and your alma mater ( you may log it , http/jvcalumniassociation.blogspot.com).
I request all the concerned persons to convey about start of face book and blogg of JVC Alumni Association to others also so that more and more veterinarians may join and start sharing their thoughts and feelings.
